A P10 outdoor SMD screen has its LEDs 10 mm apart. That spacing decides how close people can stand, how big the screen must be for a given resolution, and what it costs. P10 is a classic large-billboard pitch; viewers far away see a smooth picture.

Where a P10 outdoor screen works best
- highway billboards (with the relevant authority’s approval)
- very large rooftop and façade displays
- city-entrance signs
- big-format advertising seen from 10 m or more

Is P10 the right pitch for you?
- If most viewers will be closer than about 10 m, a finer pitch such as P8 outdoor looks smoother.
- If nobody comes closer than about 16 m, P16 outdoor gives the same picture from there and costs less per square metre.
- Measure the distance from the screen to the closest viewer, and the width of wall you have. Our pixel pitch guide explains the rule.

Frequently asked questions
How close can people stand to a P10 screen?
About 10 m is the closest comfortable distance; from 20–30 m the picture looks completely smooth.
How big is a full-HD P10 screen?
To show 1920×1080 pixels natively, a P10 screen is about 19.2 m wide and 10.8 m high. Smaller screens still play HD video; the controller scales it.
Can P10 be used indoors?
It can, but outdoor modules are much brighter than needed indoors and cost more; for an indoor wall an indoor model of a similar pitch is better value.
